Our Mural
You have probably stood under this mural in our front office! The original mural was painted in 2002 by a former employee, Emily Jones, who was studying art at Montserrat College. The animals depicted are all of the pets that belonged to staff members or clients. The yellow Labrador pictured in the center was Dr. Myles Borash’s loyal companion, Sam. The mural serves as a loving tribute to all beloved companions who we have lost, yet still keep close to our heart.
Our History
Founded in 1979 by Dr. Myles Borash, our practice began as Borash Veterinary Clinic, reflecting his hands-on approach and deep compassion for animals. A graduate of The Ohio State University, Dr. Borash built a trusted, community-focused clinic rooted in personalized care and medical excellence. As the practice grew, it recently adapted to Borash Veterinary Clinic, a name that represents our dedicated team and the community we proudly serve—while continuing the values Dr. Borash established.
With over 50 years of experience, Dr. Borash has cared for pets of all kinds—from dogs and cats to birds, rabbits, and reptiles—while also leading programs to help lost and stray animals find homes. His interests include advanced dentistry, orthopedic surgery, and exotic animal care, and he has even volunteered internationally to treat animals in need. Today, his vision of compassionate, high-quality veterinary care remains at the heart of everything we do.
