Keeping Pets Smiling Bright
It may come as a surprise your pet’s dental health actually has a lot to do with their total health. The truth is, plaque and tartar build-up is no joke! The longer your pet goes without proper dental care, the more oral bacteria harbors in the mouth. This leads to pain, discomfort, tooth loss, and infection. Plus, over time, oral bacteria can enter the bloodstream and cause more serious complications such as organ damage.
At Borash Veterinary Clinic, we take a three-step approach to combating dental disease: 1) routine dental exams, 2) annual dental cleanings, and 3) at-home care.

Dental Cleaning
All dental cleanings are performed under general anesthesia. This allows our veterinary professionals to perform a thorough cleaning of the teeth, gums, and issues that are found below the gum line. We strictly follow every precautionary step to ensure a safe surgical procedure from start to finish. Depending on the severity of your pet’s dental diagnosis, potential extractions may be recommended.
Our facility is equipped with advanced digital dental radiography. Since more than half of your pet’s teeth are below the gum line, this is an invaluable tool that allows us to accurately diagnose stages of dental disease and measure treatment success.
